Purchasing
Purchasing is a key function of any produce distribution business, and without good systems in place it can be a very labor-intensive process. With Sprout, many of the manual functions are made easier within the software. Sprout allows you to build and combine multiple purchase orders with multiple picks and locations and helps maximize your transportation efficiency.
In one screen, you can combine together multiple purchase orders into one truck, allocate the freight by weight, cube, pallet, or item, as well as allocate specific add-ons, such as Tectrol, to the correct item within that truck.
Sprout captures inbound lot information including country of origin, manufacturer, or grower’s lot number, and all associated costs, putting the data at a users’ fingertips whether they are in the office, or on a mobile device.
When trucks arrive at the facility, your staff can use Sprout's built-in warehouse management system to properly receive those trucks. Directly from the handheld, each can capture pertinent information such as temperatures, cleanliness, and arrival times.

On The Production Line
Production lines are managed with terminals or tablets. The device shows the line coordinator exactly what is to be built that day, the priority order, and allows the coordinator to capture important information throughout production and send orders to shipping upon completion. The entire process can be handled directly from the handheld.
Pricing

You can configure unlimited price levels with multiple cost bases, including, but not limited to lowest, highest, or average on hand or available, and auditable true cost to support government contracts. Our pricing tool allows you to configure markups based on percentages and/or dollar amounts and can adjust as the cost of goods changes.

Sprout's Sales Order interface provides your sales and customer service teams with fast and easy access to all incoming orders.

Picking
Sprout’s integrated mobile picking solution makes locating, pulling, and distributing products simple and intuitive for the warehouse staff.
Handheld devices allow selectors to locate, verify and pick the product with accuracy every time. Shipping labels are generated with the customer’s name, lot information, delivery information, and barcode at the time of picking, eliminating additional steps later in the order fulfillment operation.
Routing, Shipping, and Delivery
Sprout has multiple options for routing outbound deliveries.
Our intuitive drag and drop routing system allows to simply place orders into a truck for delivery. That feeds into Sprout’s warehouse management system that the staff uses to pull orders.
Sprout also integrates into all popular routing systems such as RoadNet, GreenMile, Scientific Logistics, and many others. With a few clicks you can transmit order information to the routing system, and bring the orders directly back into Sprout with the routing information. Changes can easily be made to a route at any time prior to trucks leaving your facility.
Sprouts Drivers App
Once trucks have depart, Sprout’s Drivers App takes over and manages the routing for the day. The drivers can see exactly where they are going, and what is being delivered at each stop. When drivers arrive, a delivery ticket can be immediately printed out for the receiver. Any changes or rejections can be updated per the company’s policy and an updated invoice is immediately available on the Sprout Drivers App.
The receiver simply signs their name on the screen. The signed PACA compliant invoice is electronically transmitted directly back to your database with all relevant data points, such as arrival time, departure time, and the name of the receiver. These features are part of the native Sprout system with no third-party applications or software to purchase. Sprout uses readily available mobile devices that are both rugged and economical to use.
